Mobile Thing #5

I tried both Remember the Milk and Springpad.  First, let me say I use Workflowy for note taking and it's worked well for me. That being said I like the books thing in Springpad.  I'm always looking for better ways to keep track of all the books I want to read.   I use both goodreads and Librarything.  But I find a lot of the time I just need to remember the title.  I don't need all that other stuff.   Springpad might be good for that.   I'm not seeing too much work stuff use for these.  Well, except for the work stuff I've already got on Workflowy.

Mobile Thing #4

I tried Flipboard.  While I don't dislike it, I find I easily get overwhelm when all of my stuff comes into one ap or aggregator, and I often end up just going back to looking at one site or feed at a time.  I'm going to give it a go for a bit and see what happens.  Perhaps I just have a tendency to over do things with feeds.

Mobile Thing #3

I tried the Google Goggles.  It could be super cool.  I haven't gotten it to work well yet.  It didn't recognize my Mjölnir or my Doctor Who action figures.  It did tell me where I could find boots like Matt Smith's so that's something.

Mobile Thing #2

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3.  I looked at a few video specific to my device.  I have a habit of only using the features that are obvious to me, so it was nice to find out a couple cool tricks.  I liked the picture in picture stuff.  I didn't know about that at all.  I also liked the camera stuff especially, as I no longer only a camera outside of my phone.  I don't take a lot of pictures, but I intend to take a cat beard selfie in the not too distant future.

Mobile Thing #1

So,  I would enjoy gaining greater proficiency using certain aps through 23 Mobile Things.  Additionally, I'd like to find new stupendous aps for my pleasure and to increase my ap knowledge base.  Also I'd like to enhance my blind cat's web presence.

Back in the Saddle Again

23  Things is back and so in my blog!   I'm getting used to the idea of blogging on my phone.   So far so good.

No More Things

Well, I've got my prize for completing More Things on a Stick. So, what to do with this blog now? I'm thinking abot repurposing it to be a place where I can comment of the library world. But then, this is public and I'm not always , um, nice enough to publicly share all my thoughts. Still I suppose I vet my thoughts before sharing.
